【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구지역 국회의원들이 10일 대구시장 경선 과정에서 벌어진 과열과 네거티브 공방에 대해 공식적으로 고개를 숙였다. 

이들은 정책 중심의 경쟁을 약속하며, 경선 이후에는 모두가 한 팀이 되어 공약을 통합해 추진하겠다는 뜻을 밝혔다.

이날 국회의원들은 입장문을 내고 “경선 과정에서 불거진 갈등으로 시민 여러분께 실망과 불편을 끼쳐 죄송하다”며 “이제는 근거 없는 비방을 멈추고 정책으로 경쟁해야 할 때”라고 전했다.

특히 “경선이 끝난 뒤에는 모든 후보의 공약을 ‘대구 원팀’ 이름으로 하나로 모아 실행할 계획”이라고 밝히며, 당내 통합 의지를 강조했다. 

또, 김부겸 후보에게는 “대구 시민을 폄하한 발언에 대해 사과해야 한다”고 촉구했다.

이와 함께 대구·경북 신공항 건설 등 지역의 핵심 과제를 언급하며, “이번 경선에서 드러난 갈등을 오히려 대구 발전의 계기로 삼겠다”고 입장을 정리했다.

정치권에선 이 같은 사과와 통합 메시지가 최근 경선 과정에서 심화된 지역 민심 이반 우려를 진화하기 위한 조치라는 해석이 나온다.

Furthermore, mentioning key regional tasks such as the construction of the new Daegu-Gyeongbuk airport, they summarized their position by stating, "We will use the conflicts revealed in this primary as an opportunity for the development of Daegu."
