지난 10일부터 11일까지 양일간 후보자 추천 신청 접수를 진행한 결과 6명의 후보자가 신청을 마쳤다.
김주범 전 달서구의원, 배지숙 전 대구시의회 의장, 오정희 국민의힘 대구시당 부대변인, 이관석 영남대 총동창회 상임이사, 이병천 국민의힘 대구시당 부위원장, 채영준 전 국회 선임비서관 등이다.
대구시당 공천관리위원회는 서류심사, 후보자 면접, 종합심사(도덕성, 전문성, 당선가능성, 당과 지역기여도 등) 등을 면밀히 심사해 공천할 예정이다.
