지난 3일 국회 국토교통위원회(이하 ‘국토위’) 회의실에서 ‘2023 회계연도 국토교통부 소관 결산안 상정 전체회의’가 진행됐다.

이날 권영진 의원은 국토교통부 장관 대상 질의에서 “지방에도 판교2밸리와 같이 기업과 인재가 모이는 희망의 공간이 될 수 있도록 도심융합특구를 발전 시켜달라”고 요청했다.

그는 “정부에서 사업 추진을 발표하던 당시 지방에도 판교 2밸리와 같이 기업과 인재가 모이는 희망의 공간을 만들 획기적인 정책이라며 장밋빛 청사진을 밝혔지만 4년간 실시계획도 세우지 못한 상황”이라고 지적했다.

그러면서 “특구만 지정하고 나머지는 지방에서 알아서 하라고 소극적으로 임하지 말고 국토부 장관이 의지를 가지고 진두지휘해달라”라고 국토부의 적극적인 지원 노력을 촉구했다.

박상우 국토교통부장관은 “금년 중에 기본계획을 승인하고 정상적으로 추진해 나갈 생각이다”며 “기회발전특구와 병합해 기업들을 유치하는데 있어서 매력적인 지역으로 만들 수 있도록 하겠다”라고 답했다. 

아울러 권 의원은 ▶청년 전세보증금반환보증 보증료 지원 사업 집행률 제고 위한 제도 개선 ▶지방 부동산경기 활성화를 위한 국토부 차원의 적극적인 지원책 마련 등을 촉구하기도 했다.
