출판기념회도 금지된다. 따라서 모든 후보 및 예정자는 10일까지 출판기념회 또는 북 콘서트 등을 마쳐야 하고, 정당 또는 후보자(후보자가 되고자 하는 사람 포함)의 명의를 나타내는 저술·연예·연극·영화·사진 그 밖의 물품을 공직선거법에 규정되지 않은 방법으로 광고할 수 없다. 방송·신문·잡지 기타의 광고에 출연할 수도 없다. 다만, 후보자가 되려는 사람이 대표로 있는 기업체는 선거와 무관하게 통상적인 상업광고를 할 수 있다.

철저한 선거 중립 의무를 지니고 있는 공무원, 정부투자기관·지방공사·지방공단의 상근 임원, 공직선거관리규칙에서 정한 언론인 등이 이번 국회의원선거에 입후보하려면 지역구선거에는 선거일 전 90일인 1월 11일까지, 비례대표선거에는 선거일 전 30일인 3월 11일까지 그 직을 그만두어야 한다. 다만, 국회의원이 그 직을 가지고 입후보하는 경우에는 사퇴하지 않아도 된다. 이 경우, 사직의 시점은 소속기관에 사직서를 제출한 시각으로 본다.

이밖에 선거사무 관계자가 되고자 하는 자의 경우, 특히 예비군 중대장급 이상의 간부·주민자치위원회위원 또는 통·리·반의 장 등이 선거사무장, 선거연락소장, 선거사무원, 예비후보자·후보자의 활동보조인, 회계책임자, 연설원, 대담·토론자, 투표참관인이나 사전투표참관인이 되려면 선거일 전 90일인 1월 11일까지 그 직을 그만두어야 한다.

대구경북시도선관위는 보도자료를 통해 이같은 내용을 전하면서 “공직선거법에서 시기별로 제한·금지하는 행위를 다르게 규정하고 있으므로 정당·후보자나 유권자들의 주의를 당부한다”고 밝혔다.
