이날 오후 2시 열린 강 예비후보의 선거사무소 개소식에는 ▶이수원 전 국회의장 비서실장 ▶여명 전 대통령실 행정관 ▶박원석 코레일유통 이사 ▶남재모 경상감영맞이길 상인회장 ▶김태환 한국영상박물관 관장을 비롯한 지역주민 및 당원 150여 명이 참석했다. 

행사에서는 여명 전 행정관이 축사를 전했으며 박정하 국민의힘 수석대변인(원주시갑 국회의원), 김예령 국민의힘 중앙당 대변인, 김민수 국민의힘 중앙당 대변인, 이민찬 국민의힘 중앙당 상근부대변인, 이창수 국민의힘 중앙당 인권위원장(전 자유한국당 중앙당 대변인), 김영삼 전 대통령의 손자인 김인규 전 대통령실 행정관, 이승환 전 대통령실 행정관, 민영삼 사회통합전략연구원 원장(‘따따부따’ 진행자) 등이 영상 축사로 자리를 대신했다.

강사빈 예비후보는 “가정형편 때문에 정착하지 못한 유년 시절을 보낸 저에게 ‘정착한 인생’을 선물해 준 곳이 바로 대구 중‧남구”라며 “‘지역에서 키워낸 중앙 정치인’인 만큼, 주민들의 목소리를 중앙에 당당하게 전달하겠다”고 말했다. 

나아가 그는 “이제는 국민과의 소통을 최우선시하며 각 지역의 문제점과 국가 차원의 아젠다를 명쾌하게 꿰뚫고 모든 세대의 목소리를 균형 있게 반영하는 정치를 지향해야 한다”며 “중남구의 심볼릭(symbolic)한 변화를 반드시 이끌겠다”는 포부를 밝혔다.

이와 함께 △동성로 내 대규모 주차공간 확보 △행정안전부 산하 지방청년청 신설 및 청사 남구 유치 △동성로 공동 캠퍼스 타운(DCT) 조성 등의 공약을 밝혔다.

그는 “표심에 비롯된 단순 ‘환심성’ 지원이 아닌 ‘선순환 패러다임’을 구축하는 지원이 필요하다”며 “임기 내에 마칠 수 있고, 문제가 해결되고 있다는 것이 국민의 피부에 와닿는 ‘효능감 있는’ 공약을 제시해야 한다”고 강조했다.

한편, 강 예비후보는 2021년부터 청년나우정책연구소 소장을 맡아 지역 청년들과 소통하고 있으며, 지난해 4월 국민의힘 중앙당 부대변인에 발탁돼 9월부터 상근부대변인으로 활약하고 있다.
