【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=국민의힘 당 대표 출마가 가시화 되고 있는 나경원 전 의원이 대구 동화사를 방문해 출마와 관련 “마음의 결심이 서가고 있다.”고 말했다. 사실상 출마를 결심한 것으로 풀이된다.

나 전 의원은 “내년 총선까지 윤석열 정부가 성공해야지만 총선 승리도 가능한 일”이라면서 “총선 승리에 제가 어떤 자리에서, 어떤 역할을 할 수 있는지 고민을 하고 있다.”고 전했다.

최근 김기현 의원이 가파른 상승세를 보이며 나 전 의원의 지지율을 역전한 것에 대해서는 “여론조사가 좋다고 출마하고 안 좋다고 출마를 안하는 것은 아니다.”면서 “여론조사와 관계없이 전당대회가 어떻게 가야 되는 것인지, 당의 미래가 어떻게 되어야 하는지가 저의 근본적인 고민.”이라고 설명했다.

아울러 나 전 의원은 SNS에 저출산고령사회위원회 부위원장과 기후환경대사 해임과 관련 “대통령의 본의가 아니라고 생각하며 전달과정의 왜곡도 있었을 것.”이라고 밝힌 것이 윤핵관을 겨냥한 것이 아니냐는 추측에 대해 “대통령께 정보를 전달하는 분들을 꼭 누구라고 특정하는 것은 맞지 않다.”며 직접적인 언급을 피했다.
