더불어민주당 대선 후보를 뽑는 예비경선 국민면접에서 1위를 차지한 이낙연 전 민주당 대표가 5일 자신의 유튜브 채널 이낙연TV를 통해 대선 출마를 공식 선언했다.

이 전 대표는 “상처받은 공정을 다시 세우고 모든 위협으로부터 국민 한 분 한 분의 삶을 국지켜주는 나라가 되어야한다”며 대권 도전에 나서는 출마의 변을 밝혔다.

그는 “김대중, 노무현, 문재인 대통령은 저에게 학교였다. 그분들로부터 정치를 배우고, 정책을 익혔고 정치와 정책의 문제가 무엇인지도 알게 되었다”면서 “좋은 철학은 든든하게 계승하되, 문제는 확실하게 시정해야 한다. 그 일을 제가 하겠다”며 목소리를 높였다.

그러면서 이 전 대표는 신복지, 중산층 경제, 헌법개정, 연성강국 신외교, 문화강국 등 5대 국정 비전을 제시했다.

그는 "내 삶을 지켜주는 나라, 자랑스러운 대한민국을 만들기 위해 무엇을 할 것인가 말씀드리겠다"며 “신복지를 통해 소득 뿐만이 아니라 주거, 노동, 교육, 의료, 돌봄, 문화, 환경에서도 최저한의 생활을 국가가 보장할 책임을 지도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
