【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구를 찾은 국민의힘 안철수 의원이 “이재명 대표가 대통령이 되는 일은 결단코 안 된다 꼭 막아야 된다”고 말했다.

안철수 의원은 12일 국민의힘 대구시당에서 열린 당원 및 기자간담회를 통해 “3년 전 이재명 대표가 대통령이 돼서는 안 된다는 생각으로 윤석열 당시 후보와 단일화를 했고 지금도 변함없다”고 설명했다.

그러면서 “이재명 대표는 2심에서 유죄 판결이 나면 대선에 출마해서는 안된다”고 강조했다.

그는 “민주주의에서 가장 중요한 게 선거”라며 “후보자가 2심과 3심 사이에 유죄인지 무죄인지도 모르는 상태에서 유권자들에게 선택을 하라고 하는 것은 민주주의 기본 원칙에 맞지 않다”고 지적했다.

지난 대선에서 윤석열 후보와 단일화 한 것에 대해 후회는 없는지 묻는 질문에는 “없다”며 “한 후보는 범죄혐의자였고 한 후보는 정치초보자였는데 당연히 초보자를 선택하지 않겠나”고 전했다. 그러면서도 “사실 계엄을 선포 할 줄은 정말 몰랐다”고 덧붙였다.

또한 “윤석열 대통령은 헌재 심판에 승복한다는 메시지를 내놔야한다”고 주장하기도 했다.

그는 “서로 의견이 다른 국민들끼리 충돌하고 유혈 사태가 날까봐 두렵다”며 “시위 현장을 가보니 시간이 갈수록 격앙되고 있는데 대통령이 어떤 결과가 나오든 승복하겠다고 말하면 유혈 사태는 막을 수 있지 않을까 싶다”고 전했다.

이날 안철수 의원은 간담회에 앞서 대구 중구 대신동 대구동산병원을 찾아 의료진을 격려했다. 오후에는 경북대에서 '안철수에 대한민국 미래를 듣는다'를 주제로 특강을 진행했다.
