안철수 후보는 21일 오전 10시 국민의힘 대구시당에서 긴급 기자회견을 통해 이같이 밝혔다.

그는 “당의 대선 후보 경쟁을 보면 민심은 안중에도 없다”며 “제발 국민 앞에 부끄러운 줄 알라”고 꼬집었다.

또한 “탄핵을 부정하다가 헌재의 8대 0 탄핵 인용에 대해 사과 한마디, 성찰 한 줄 없이 모두 대선 후보를 자처하고 있다”고 지적했다.

그러면서 “탄핵을 부정하면 대선 보궐선거를 부정하는 것”이라며 “탄핵을 반대한 분들은 입후보할 것이 아니라 대선 보궐선거 반대 운동의 선봉에 서는 것이 맞다”고 주장했다.

이어 안 후보는 “반탄 후보가 대선후보로 뽑히면 대선은 필패”라고 말했다. 지난 20일 진행된 경선 토론회에 대해서는 “그야말로 가관이었다”며 “죽음의 조가 아니라 ‘당을 죽이는 조’였다고 덧붙였다.

안 후보는 경쟁 후보들을 강하게 비판했다. 김문수 후보를 겨냥해서는 “윤석열 정부에서 장관을 지내며 비상계엄을 사실상 옹호하던 분은 국가 비상사태를 빌미로 민주주의를 위협했던 그 입장을 그대로 유지한 채, 국민의 표를 구하겠다는 것이 부끄럽지 않나”고 맹비난했다.

홍준표 후보에 대해서는 “지금까지 계엄을 옹호하고 헌법질서를 부정하고 있으면서 대선출마가 웬말인가”라며 “본인의 모순된 정치적 행보에 대한 해명도 반성도 없이 어떻게 그렇게 당당할 수 있나”고 반문했다.

또한 한동훈 후보를 “윤 전 대통령의 후광으로 장관과 비대위원장을 거쳐 대선에 뛰어든 정치 신인, 한 번도 본인의 선거를 치러보지 않은 분”이라고 표현했다.

마지막 4강행 티켓을 두고 경쟁하는 나경원 후보에 대해서는 “탄핵 각하를 외치던 분이 탄핵이 인용되자마자 대선 판에 뛰어든 모습 당원들은 다 기억하고 있다”며 “몰염치의 끝”이라고 말했다.

또한 “나 후보는 제가 윤 전 대통령과 단일화를 하면서 여당 중진으로서의 혜택을 본 분”이라며 “오히려 저한테 고맙다고 말씀하시는 게 순서”라고 강조했다.

아울러 “전체 여론 조사에서 제가 나경원 후보에 비해 2배 이상 높기 때문에 걱정하지 않는다”고 덧붙여 말했다.
