장세용 구미시장은 22일 군위군에서 개최하는 특별 좌담회에 참석했다고 밝혔다.

이번 특별 좌담회는 대구경북 통합신공항 건설사업의 성공적인 추진과 하늘길 동맹(구미시, 군위군, 의성군, 칠곡군) 시․군간 공동발전과 상호협력방안에 대해 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.

이번 특별 좌담회는 그 동안 군위군의 대구시 편입에 함께 힘을 모아 주신 하늘길 동맹 시군 단체장들께 감사의 마음을 전하기 위해 김영만 군위군수의 요청에 따라 군위군에서 개최하게 됐다. 

좌담회에 참석한 하늘길 동맹 단체장들은 하늘길 동맹 협약의 의미를 다시 한 번 되새기며 통합신공항이 우리 후손들에게 새로운 희망을 가져다 줄 수 있도록 함께 노력해 나가자는데 의견을 모았다.

좌담회에 이어 하늘길 동맹 협약 4개 시군 단체장들은 군위군에서 지난 6월 통합신공항의 유치 확정을 기념하기 위해 설치한 팬텀기를 직접 둘러보고 통합신공항 건설은 대구경북의 미래이자 희망이라며 통합신공항 추진을 위해 하늘길 동맹이 앞장 설 것임을 다짐했다.
