【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구시가 시 및 구·군 의원, 공무원, 공공기관 임직원 등을 대상으로 한 대구경북행정통합 순회 토론회를 개최한다. 

오는 10일 달서구를 시작으로 이어지는 토론회는 시·도민 생활을 누구보다도 잘 알고 일선에서 대응하는 시 및 구·군 의원과 공무원들, 공공기관 임직원 등에게 제대로 된 정보를 전달하고 의견을 수렴하기 위해 3~4월 동안 총 14회에 걸쳐 1,300여 명을 대상으로 실시될 예정이다.

이번 토론회에서는 지난 3월 2일 공론화위원회에서 발표한 대구경북행정통합기본계획(초안)에 대한 주요내용을 전달하고, 우려와 기대, 제안 등 다양한 현장의 목소리를 들을 예정이다.

토론회는 최영호 대구시 정책기획관 주재로 행정통합기본계획 설명(20분), 질의응답(30분) 순으로 약 60분간 진행되며 코로나19 상황을 고려해 토론회는 대면과 비대면(영상회의) 방식을 병행해 개최된다. 

한편 행정통합은 시·도민의 의견을 제대로 수렴하기 위해 민간차원의 대구경북행정통합공론화위원회가 구성돼, 지난 12월부터 3차에 걸친 온라인 시·도민 토론회, 권역별(대구, 포항, 구미, 안동) 대토론회 등을 통해 본격적인 공론화를 진행하고 있다. 

행정통합의 기본계획은 ‘시·도민과 함께 만들어간다’는 공론화위원회의 기조에 따라, 이번 토론회를 통해 나온 다양한 의견과 제안들을 공론화위원회에 전달해 행정통합기본계획(안)에 반영토록 제출할 예정이다.

최영호 대구시 정책기획관은 “행정통합기본계획(초안)이 공개돼 공공기관 등에 종사함으로 인한 신분상 제약으로 의견 표명이 어려웠던 시 및 구·군 의원과 공무원 등에게도 내용을 공유하고 의견을 수렴할 필요가 있다고 생각해 토론회를 준비하게 됐다”며, “행정통합에 대한 가감 없는 정보를 제공함과 동시에 궁금증을 해소하고 다양한 의견을 들을 수 있는 허심탄회한 자리가 되길 희망한다”고 말했다.
