앞서 공천 취소에 반발하며 국민의힘을 탈당한 도태우 후보는 21일 오후 1시 30분, 대구 남구에 위치한 선거사무소에서 기자회견을 개최했다.

그는 “대구 중·남구 주민들의 선택과 보수의 가치가 버림받았다”며 “무소속 출마로 대한민국 선진화를 향한 깃발을 사수하겠다”는 각오를 밝혔다.
