대구경북경제자유구역청(김병삼 청장)은 경산지구 내 부지 용도 변경을 위해 많은노력을 기울였고, 그 결과 지난해 4월 산업통상자원부 경제자유구역위원회 심의를 통해 유통상업시설용지로 변경됨으로써 대형 프리미엄 쇼핑몰 입주가 가능해졌다.

전국에 현대백화점과 현대프리미엄아울렛을 운영 중인 한무쇼핑(주)은, 김포점과 남양주점 등 현대프리미엄아울렛 2개 지점을 성공적으로 운영하고 있다.
