【브레이크뉴스 울릉】전종환 기자=울릉군(군수 남한권)은 지난 6월 27일 해군 제118조기경보전대 무릉관에서 ‘2025년도 2분기 통합방위협의회’를 개최하고, 지역 안보와 재난 대응 강화를 위한 협력 방안을 집중 논의했다.

이날 회의는 남한권 울릉군수 주재 아래, 최대근 울릉경찰서장, 손승모 해군 제118조기경보전대장, 박재효 공군 제8355부대장 등 유관기관 관계자와 통합방위협의회 위원 등 20여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

회의에서는 ▲2025년 을지연습 시행 계획 보고 ▲울릉군 통합방위예규 개정 추진 외 3건의 주요 안건에 대한 보고 및 토의가 이뤄졌으며, 최근 안보 정세를 공유하고 도서 지역 특성을 고려한 실전형 FTX 훈련 방식에 대한 심도 있는 의견이 교환됐다.

특히 울릉군은 UFS(연합연습) 및 을지연습 등 주요 훈련 시 울릉도의 지리적 여건과 특수성을 반영한 훈련 방안을 논의하고, 상황 발생 시 신속한 정보 공유 및 협조체계 구축을 위한 유관기관별 상황 연락망 구성 계획을 수립했다. 해당 협조망은 오는 3분기부터 실제 운용에 들어갈 예정이다.

남한권 울릉군수는 “예기치 못한 재난이나 안보 위기 상황에서 가장 중요한 것은 신속하고 체계적인 대응”이라며, “군민들이 안심하고 일상생활을 유지할 수 있도록 민·관·군 협력체계를 더욱 견고히 하고, 실질적인 대응 역량 강화에 모든 기관이 최선을 다해 달라”고 당부했다.

울릉군은 앞으로도 주기적인 협의회를 통해 실효성 있는 안보·재난대응 체계를 마련하고, 군민 안전을 최우선으로 하는 통합방위 시스템 구축에 박차를 가할 방침이다.
