독도박물관은 지난 8월 22일 기증유물심의위원회를 열고 101건 200점의 유물에 대한 진위 감정 및 학술적 가치 등을 종합적으로 심의했다. 그 결과, 61건 122점의 유물이 학술·문화적 가치를 인정받아 박물관 소장품으로 관리·보존된다.
이번에 기증된 유물은 1950년대 독도 폭격 사건 당시의 포탄두, 울릉도에서 사용된 민속 도구 등 다양한 분야를 아우른다. 특히 1950~1990년대 울릉도 학교 관련 자료 50여 점과 2000년대 프로젝터 등은 울릉도 학교 통폐합 과정과 학생들의 삶을 보여주는 귀중한 자료로 평가된다.
또한, 울릉도 생활 문화사를 엿볼 수 있는 오징어 낚싯줄(8점)과 대발(9점), 궁도 문화를 보여주는 활과 화살(31점), 교통사를 알 수 있는 선박 승선권(1점) 등도 포함돼 학술적 가치가 높다.
남한권 울릉군수는 “이번 심의는 단순히 유물 기증 여부를 판단하는 것을 넘어 우리 지역의 역사와 정체성을 보존하고 후손에게 전하는 소중한 과정”이라며 “앞으로도 문화유산 보존과 활용을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Dokdo Museum Receives Donation of 122 Artifacts Depicting Ulleungdo and Dokdo History
The Ulleung County Dokdo Museum has registered 122 artifacts related to Ulleungdo and Dokdo, donated by five individuals during the first half of 2025, as part of its collection.
On August 22nd, the Dokdo Museum held a Donation Review Committee meeting and comprehensively reviewed the authenticity and academic value of 200 artifacts from 101 cases. Ulleung County Mayor Nam Han-kwon stated, "This review goes beyond simply determining whether to donate artifacts. It is a valuable process that preserves our region's history and identity and passes it on to future generations. We will continue to do our best to preserve and utilize our cultural heritage."
