연주회에 앞서 군악대는 이날 오후 울릉중학교를 찾아 학생들을 위한 버스킹 공연을 진행해 큰 호응을 얻었으며, 본 공연은 저녁 저동항 관해정에서 시작됐다.
연주는 캄보밴드와 함께한 트럼펫 곡 ‘산체스의 아이들’로 문을 열었고, 이어 실로폰 연주, 타악 퍼포먼스, 색소폰 솔로 등 다채로운 무대가 이어졌다. 특히 슈퍼스타K4 출신 가수 유승우 상병이 무대에 올라 따뜻한 감성의 노래를 들려주며 관객들에게 깊은 감동과 즐거움을 선사했다.
남한권 울릉군수는 “독도를 향한 국토순례에 앞서 울릉도를 찾은 육사 생도들과 군악대가 주민들과 함께 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다”며 “이번 공연은 울릉도민과 관광객 모두에게 특별한 추억이 되었을 것”이라고 말했다. 이어 “생도들이 이번 순례를 통해 조국에 대한 자긍심과 소중한 경험을 쌓는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 덧붙였다.

The performance opened with the trumpet song ‘Children of Sanchez’ with the Kambo Band, followed by various performances such as xylophone performance, percussion performance, and saxophone solo.
