지난해 최우수 시군으로 선정된 데 이어 올해도 높은 평가를 받으며, 청도군의 중소기업 지원 정책이 연속성과 실효성을 갖추고 있음을 다시 한 번 입증했다.

중소기업 육성시책 시군 평가는 도내 시·군이 추진한 중소기업 지원 정책과 실적을 종합적으로 분석해 우수 사례를 발굴·확산하고, 기업하기 좋은 환경 조성을 위해 매년 실시된다. 평가는 중소기업 육성시책 수립 및 추진, 자금 지원 실적, 중소기업제품 공공구매 실적, 경상북도 시책 참여도, 기업 애로 해소 노력 등 5개 분야를 중심으로 이뤄진다.

청도군은 이번 평가에서 기업 현장의 수요를 반영한 맞춤형 지원을 지속적으로 확대한 점에서 높은 점수를 받았다. 중소기업 운전자금 이차보전 지원 확대를 통해 기업의 자금 부담을 완화하는 한편, 강소기업 육성 기반 구축과 국내 물류비 지원 등 성장 단계별 지원 정책을 강화해왔다.

또한 산업 현장의 안전과 작업환경 개선을 위한 ‘산업안전 환경개선사업’ 추진과 함께, ‘외국인근로자 기숙사 환경개선 시범사업’을 통해 인력 정착 여건을 개선하려는 노력이 긍정적으로 평가됐다. 여기에 기업과 농공단지 환경개선을 위한 각종 공모사업을 적극 추진하며 기반시설 확충에도 힘을 쏟았다.

정책 홍보와 행정 방식에서도 현장 밀착형 행정이 돋보였다. 청도군은 기업지원 시책을 종합한 안내 책자를 제작·배포하고, 시군구 연고산업육성 공모 대응을 위해 기업 수요조사를 실시하는 등 사업 준비 단계부터 기업의 목소리를 정책에 반영했다. 아울러 ‘1기업 1담당제’를 운영해 전담 공무원이 기업 애로사항을 선제적으로 파악하고 맞춤형 지원을 신속히 연계함으로써 정책 체감도를 높였다.

재원과 투자 기반 확충 노력도 수상에 힘을 보탰다. 청도군은 중소기업육성기금을 설치하고, 중소벤처기업부 모태펀드와 연계한 ‘엑스트라마일 라이콘 펀드’ 출자 사업에 참여해 지역 중소기업과 혁신창업기업의 자금 조달과 성장을 지원하고 있다.

김하수 청도군수는 “이번 수상은 기업 현장에서 답을 찾고, 기업이 체감하는 지원을 지속적으로 추진해온 결과”라며 “앞으로도 자금·인력·환경 등 기업 경영의 핵심 수요를 정밀하게 뒷받침해 청도 기업이 더 크게 성장하고 더 넓은 시장으로 도약할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
