【브레이크뉴스 청도】이성현 기자=청도군은 국립중앙박물관이 주관하는 ‘2026 국보순회전’ 개최지로 청도박물관이 최종 선정돼, 오는 9월 신라 문화의 정수로 꼽히는 ‘금령총 금관’을 청도에서 선보일 예정이라고 밝혔다.

‘국보순회전’은 국립중앙박물관이 소장한 국보·보물급 중요 지정문화유산을 지역 공립박물관에서 순회 전시하는 사업으로, 지역 간 문화 격차 해소와 지방 소멸 위기 대응, 지역민의 문화 향유권 확대를 목표로 추진되고 있다.

이번 공모 선정에 따라 청도박물관은 2026년 9월부터 11월까지 기획전시실에서 ‘금령총 금관’을 주제로 특별전을 개최한다. 전시에는 신라 금령총에서 출토된 금관을 비롯해 금허리띠, 금방울 등 신라 고분 미술의 정수를 보여주는 국립중앙박물관 대표 소장품들이 대거 출품될 예정이다.

특히 이번 전시는 신라 시대 지방 거점이었던 청도 지역에서 중앙 지배층의 상징인 금관 진품을 처음으로 직접 관람할 수 있는 기회라는 점에서 의미가 크다.

청도박물관은 이번 전시를 위해 국립중앙박물관으로부터 전시 연출, 유물 운송, 보험, 홍보영상 제작 등 전반에 걸친 비용을 전액 국비로 지원받는다. 여기에 자체 예산을 추가 투입해 전시실 환경을 대폭 개선하고, 국보급 유물 전시에 걸맞은 관람 환경과 보안 시스템을 구축할 계획이다.

김하수 청도군수는 “대도시에 가야만 접할 수 있었던 국가유산인 금관을 청도에서 직접 선보일 수 있게 돼 매우 뜻깊다”며 “이번 국보순회전이 군민에게는 수준 높은 문화 향유의 기회가 되고, 외부 관광객에게는 청도를 찾는 계기가 될 수 있도록 철저히 준비하겠다”고 말했다.
