이들 자매는 빈틈없이 바쁜 일상과 가정의 책임 사이에서 대학 생활을 이어왔다. 박은숙 씨는 대구에서 미용실을 운영했고, 언니 박인숙 씨는 동생과 함께 강의실을 오가며 학업에 임했다. 생업에 더해 학업까지 병행해야 했지만, 자매는 서로의 스케줄과 컨디션을 세심하게 챙기며 결석하지 않으려 애썼다.
