【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교 파크골프경영과가 5월 가정의 달을 맞아 재학생과 졸업생이 함께한 친선 파크골프대회를 성황리에 열었다.

제5회 친선파크골프대회는 지난 12일 대구 달성군 위천파크골프장에서 열렸으며, 재학생과 동문 등 580여 명이 참가해 건강과 친목을 다지고 실전 감각을 높이는 시간을 가졌다. 참가자들은 선의의 경쟁 속에서 파크골프경영과의 끈끈한 단합력을 보여줬다.

이날 개회식에는 추경호 국회의원, 김원규 대구시의회 부의장, 최재훈 달성군수, 김은영 달성군의회 의장, 홍석주 대한파크골프협회 회장 등 주요 인사들이 참석해 대회를 축하했다. 학과 교수진도 함께해 학생들을 응원했다.

축사에서는 “영진전문대가 파크골프 인재 양성과 시니어 스포츠문화 확산에 앞장서고 있다”며 “이번 대회가 화합과 건강을 다지는 뜻깊은 시간이 되길 바란다”는 격려가 이어졌다.

조진석 파크골프경영과 학과장은 “이번 대회를 통해 학생들이 파크골프의 매력을 느끼고 협동심과 스포츠맨십을 기르길 바란다”고 말했다.

개회식에서는 1E반 김상록 학생과 1구미반 이지호 학생이 선수 대표로 선서를 했으며, 이어 단체사진 촬영으로 친목을 다졌다.

대회는 총 4개 그룹으로 나뉘어 진행됐다.1그룹은 각 학반 예선을 통과한 166명이 36홀 스트로크 샷건 방식으로 실력을 겨뤘고, 2~4그룹은 재학생과 졸업생이 혼합 조를 이뤄 AB·CD 코스에서 18홀 친선 경기를 펼쳤다.

경기 후에는 남녀 개인전 및 학반 단체전 시상이 이어졌고, 경품 추첨 등 부대행사도 열려 축제 분위기를 더했다.

대회 안전을 위해 학과 협약기관인 진병원이 응급환자 수송차량을 지원하기도 했다.

조 학과장은 “2022년 전국 최초로 개설된 파크골프경영과는 32명의 신입생으로 출발해 현재는 전국 최대 규모 학과로 성장했다”며 “이번 대회를 통해 학생들이 선후배 간 유대를 쌓고 값진 추억을 만들었기를 바란다”고 전했다.

The Park Golf Management Department of Youngjin College successfully held a friendly park golf competition for current and former students in May, Family Month.

The 5th Friendship Park Golf Competition was held on the 12th at Wicheon Park Golf Course in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, and about 580 current students and alumni participated to promote health and friendship and improve their sense of practice. Dean Cho Jin-seok of the Park Golf Management Department said, “I hope that through this competition, students will experience the charm of park golf and develop teamwork and sportsmanship.”

At the opening ceremony, students Sang-rok Kim of Class 1E and Ji-ho Lee of Class 1 Gumi took the oath as representative players, and then a group photo was taken to foster camaraderie.

The competition was divided into four groups. Group 1 had 166 students who passed the preliminary rounds of each school compete in a 36-hole stroke shotgun style, while Groups 2-4 had mixed groups of current and former students play 18-hole friendly matches on the AB and CD courses.

After the game, awards were given out for the men's and women's individual and class team events, and side events such as prize draws were also held to add to the festive atmosphere.

For the safety of the competition, Jin Hospital, a departmental partner institution, also provided emergency patient transport vehicles.

Dean Cho said, "The Park Golf Management Department, which was the first to be opened in the country in 2022, started with 32 new students and has now grown into the largest department in the country," and added, "I hope that through this competition, students will build bonds between seniors and juniors and make valuable memories."
