【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 영진전문대학교(총장 최재영)는 26일 반려동물과가 ‘2023 KKC 반려견스타일리스트 경연대회’에서 다수의 입상자를 배출했다고 밝혔다.

대학에 따르면 이번 ‘2023 제2회 KKC 반려견 스타일리스트 경연대회’에는 미국, 캐나다, 중국, 일본 등 세계 각국에서 350여 명이 참여해 경쟁을 펼친 가운데 영진전문대 반려동물과 학생들이 우수한 성적을 거두며 실력을 입증했다.

일반부와 학생부로 나뉘어 진행된 이번 대회는 외국인 심사위원을 초청해 심사를 진행했다.

영진전문대는 학생부에 배은비 학생이 금상을 수상했고 이상혁, 정은화, 최소은 학생이 장려상을 수상하였으며 일반부에 이호준 학생이 은상을 수상했다.

학생부 금상을 받은 배은비 학생은 “지난 2월 전국 대회에 처음 출진하고 나서 많은 것을 느꼈고, 이번 대회 준비에 밤낮 가리지 않고 연습한 결과 금상을 받게 돼 기쁘다.”고 밝히며 “지금의 실력에 안주하지 않고 더욱 노력해 다른 대회에도 참여하는 등 경험과 실력을 키워나가겠다.”고 소감을 전했다.

이민영 지도교수는 “지난해 학과를 개설해 2학년이 된 학생들이 그동안의 준비와 다진 실력을 이번 대회에 맘껏 발휘해 좋은 성과를 얻었다.”면서 “지난 2월 미용대회에 참가한 학생들이 좋은 자극을 받았고, 이번 대회를 준비하면서 하나라도 더 배우려는 모습을 읽을 수 있었다. 학생들이 대회를 통해 전공에 대한 동기를 부여할 수 있기에 앞으로 더 많은 대회에 참가하고 더 좋은 결과를 내도록 하겠다.”고 말했다.
