대구시 수성구의회(의장 조용성)가 종이 없는 스마트의회를 구현에 나섰다고 11일 밝혔다.

수성구 의회에 따르면 회의 때마다 과다 생산되는 인쇄물로 인한 예산 낭비를 방지하고 환경 보호에 앞장서기 위해 종이 없는 회의를 만든다는 계획이다.

스마트의회 구현을 위해 태블릿PC를 구입해 이번 제242회 임시회부터 본회의 및 상임위원회 회의 진행시 안건을 검토하는 등 적극 활용하고 있다.

또한 영상시스템을 설치해 이번 임시회 회의부터 각종 의안 및 참고자료 등을 모니터에 공유해 원활한 회의 진행과 업무 편의성이 증대되어 의원들로부터 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.

조용성 의장은 “지방자치 부활 30년을 맞아 환경보호와 예산 절감을 위해 그동안 산더미처럼 쌓였던 회의 서류를 과감하게 정리해 종이 없는 스마트 의정활동으로 주민들의 기대에 부응하는 수성구의회로 거듭날 수 있도록 의정활동을 펼쳐나가겠다”고 전했다.
