【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=  대구시는 지방채 추가상환 600억원을 포함 총 6,516억원이 증액된 11조 523억원 규모의 민선8기 첫 추경 예산안을 편성해 시의회에 제출할 예정이라고 29일 밝혔다.

이번 추경을 통해 대구시는 공공부문의 예산 절감과 지출구조조정으로 마련한 재정 여력으로 채무를 조기상환하고, 대구 미래번영을 위한 민선8기 시정과제 추진의 초석을 다져나감과 동시에 돌봄이 필요한 취약계층에 대해서도 두텁게 지원해 나간다는 계획이다.

추경예산안의 규모는 기정예산 10조 4,007억원 대비 6,516억원이 증가한 11조 523억원이며 일반회계 5,519억원(6.7%), 특별회계 997억원(4.7%)이 각각 증액됐다.

주요재원은 지방교부세 3,220억원, 국고보조금 2,088억원 ,세외수입 114억원 보전수입 등 내부거래 97억원 등이다.

또 전방위적인 지출구조조정으로 경상경비와 보조사업 등에서 683억원을 감액해 추가 재원으로 활용했다.

이번 추경예산안은 지출구조조정으로 지방채 추가상환, 민선8기 공약사업과 시정과제 이행을 위한 마중물 사업추진 ,코로나19 재확산에 따른 피해지원 등 사회안전망 강화 ,대중교통 재정지원 등 시민 생활과 연계된 현안 사업추진에 초점을 두고 편성했다.

홍준표 대구시장은 “이번 추경에는 시 재정 건전화를 위해 채무상환금 600억을 추가로 편성하고 대구 미래를 준비하는 마중물 사업도 착실히 반영했다."며" 코로나19와 생활 물가 급등으로 지친 민생과 현안을 돌보는 데도 소홀함이 없도록 하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

한편 이번 대구시 제2회 추경예산안은 9월 15일부터 시작되는 제295회 시의회 정례회에서 심사와 의결을 거쳐 최종 확정될 예정이다.
