【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항해양경찰서(서장 김형민)는 해양종사자 인권침해 범죄 및 해양안전 저해사범에 대한 특별단속을 11월 25일까지 실시한다고 11일 밝혔다.
주요 단속내용은 장애인 유인·감금·폭행, 선원 선불금 갈취 및 강제승선, 무허가 직업소개소 및 불법체류 외국인 고용, 여성 선원에 대한 성범죄, 선박 불법 증·개축, 과적·과승·무면허·승무기준 위반, 선박 안전검사 및 구명설비 부실검사, 음주운항 및 항행구역 위반 등이다.
한편 이번 특별단속은 오는 10월 13일까지 경각심을높이기 위해 단속예고 및 홍보활동을 병행한다.
한편, 포항해경은 올해 상반기 선내폭행 등 인권침해사범 6건 6명, 음주운항 등 해양안전 저해사범 51건 52명을 검거한 바 있다.
포항해경 관계자는 “해양종사자를 상대로 기본권을 침해하는 인권침해사범과 국민 안전을 위협하는 해양안전 저해사범에 대해서 법과 원칙에따라 엄중하게 사법 처리할 방침”이라며 “국민의 안전과 인권을 우선으로국민에게 공감받는 수사 활동을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
