6일 포항해경에 따르면 9월 6일 새벽 1시 43분쯤 사람이 빠졌다는 신고를 접수하고 호미곶파출소 구조대원이 도착해보니 익수자 A씨(여, 50대)는 갯바위에서 추락해의식 및 호흡이 없는 상태였고 구조대원은 A씨를 구조보드로 옮겨 태워 심폐소생술을 진행하면서 육상으로 이송했다.

다행히 A씨는 호미곶파출소 구조대원과 119의 심폐소생술등의 응급처치로 호흡 및 의식이 돌아와 인근 병원으로 이송돼 회복 중이며, 생명에는 지장이없는 것으로 확인됐다.

B씨에 따르면, “A씨가 보이지 않아 주변을 확인하는 중 갯바위 인근 해상에빠져 소리치는 A씨를 발견하여 신고했다”고 말했다.

김지한 서장은“익수자를 발견하면 주변에 큰소리로 알리고 신속하게 신고해야하며 해안가, 갯바위 인근에 접근하는 것은 매우 위험하므로 각별히 주의해 줄 것”을 당부했다.
