식전 공연을 시작으로 시화전 시상식, 문학 낭송회, 토크콘서트 등 다양한 프로그램이 진행되며, 글자를 배워 인생의 봄날을 꽃피운 문해학습자들의 다양한 삶의 이야기를 조명한다.
특히 이날 시상식에는 지난 9월 교육부가 주최하고 국가평생교육진흥원이 주관한 전국단위 시화전 입상자 8명에 대한 시상과 함께 대구광역시장, 행복진흥원장, 대구시의장, 대구시교육감상 등 총 22명에 대한 시상이 진행된다.
