【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경북농업기술원은 9일 수출용 신품종 복숭아 보급을 위해 의성군 가음면 소재 복숭아 농장에서 국내 육성 신품종 천도복숭아‘옐로드림’의 품종특성과 재배사례를 소개하는 현장 간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
농업기술원에 따르면 이날 현장간담회에서 소개된 ‘엘로드림’은 농촌진흥청에서 육성하고 경북도에서 보급하고 있는 털이 없는 천도복숭아로 시지 않은 달콤한 맛과 씻어서 바로 먹을 수 있다.
특히, 깎을 필요가 없고 알레르기 발생 위험이 적으며 먹고 난 뒤에는 음식물 쓰레기 배출량도 없어 간편하게 먹을 수 있어 최근 소비트렌드에도 적합해 지난해부터 시장출하가 시작되자마자 큰 인기를 끌고 있는 복숭아다.
이어 의성군농업기술센터 금성지소에서 고품질 복숭아 신품종 저변 확대를 위한 재배매뉴얼 확립과 품질 고급화를 통해 유통과 수출을 확대할 방안에 대한 전문가 토론이 진행됐다.
한편, 복숭아수출농업기술지원단(단장 영남대학교 윤해근 교수)은 경북도의 지원을 받아 2016년도부터 지역 복숭아의 생산부터 수출까지 전 과정을 현장 맞춤형 종합 컨설팅 사업을 진행하고 있다.
신용습 경북도 농업기술원장은 “MZ세대와 다양한 연령층의 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 새로운 맛의 신품종 복숭아을 개발하고 보급하는 것은 매우 중요한 일이다”며 “향후 조기 보급을 위해 현장 보고 및 간담회, 평가회을 개최하고 기술지원 등을 통해 국내 소비시장 확대는 물론 수출 활성화를 위한 기술지원에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.

Meanwhile, the Peach Export Agricultural Technology Support Group (Director, Yeungnam University Professor Hae-geun Yoon) has been conducting a comprehensive consulting project tailored to the field from 2016, from the production of local peaches to export, with the support of Gyeongbuk Province.
Shin Yong-seop, head of Gyeongbuk Agricultural Research and Development Institute, said, “In order to increase the satisfaction of the MZ generation and various age groups, it is very important to develop and distribute a new variety of peaches with a new taste. We will do our best to expand the domestic consumption market and provide technical support to revitalize exports.”
