【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구 동구(구청장 윤석준)는 주머니 속, 서랍 속에서 잠자고 있는 100원짜리 동전을 매일 꾸준히 모아 기부하는 ‘100원의 큰사랑’ 나눔 행사 개최했다고 밝혔다.
5일, 동구에 따르면 이날 행사는 주민, 전통시장 상인회, 공인중개사협회, 어린이집, 각급 위원회 및 봉사단체 등이 참여해 나눔에 대한 뜨거운 열정을 보였다.
올해 8회째를 맞이하는 ‘100원의 큰사랑’은 2015년부터 시작해 7년간 3억2천여 만원이 모금되었으며, 동구를 대표하는 나눔 문화로 정착됐다.
모금된 정성은 동구지역 저소득 소외계층의 주거비, 난방비, 의료비 및 청소년 교육비, 신입생 학용품지원 사업 등 ‘행복동구 희망Dream사업’에 사용되고 있다.
윤석준 동구청장은 “경기침체로 어려운 시기에도 정성으로 마음을 모아 행사에 동참해 주신 동구지역 주민 여러분에게 감사의 인사를 드린다. "며"구청도 따뜻한 지역공동체로 단 한명의 이웃이라도 소외되지 않고, 행정이 미치지 못하는 복지사각지대가 없도록 최선을 노력을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Yoon Seok-joon, head of Dong-gu Office, said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the residents of Dong-gu who gathered their hearts and participated in the event even during difficult times due to the economic recession. “As a warm community, the district office will do its best to ensure that not a single neighbor is left out and there is no welfare blind spot that the administration cannot reach,” he said.
