【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시는 26일 국민권익위원회의 ‘2022년 공공기관 종합청렴도 평가’ 결과 지난해보다 1등급 높아진 2등급을 달성했다고 밝혔다.
569개 공공기관을 대상으로 하는 이번 평가는 반부패 총괄기관인 국민권익위원회에서 공공기관의 주요 업무를 경험한 국민과 공직자 약 24만 명을 대상으로 측정한 청렴 체감도와 각급 기관에서 1년간 추진한 반부패 추진 노력도를 합산하고 부패실태에 대해서는 감점하는 방식으로 진행됐다.
포항시는 지난해 이강덕 포항시장을 비롯한 고위공직자 대상 반부패·청렴 교육, 익명 제보 시스템 및 자율적 내부통제제도 운영, 청렴 소통 간담회, 전 직원을 대상으로 한 청렴 콘서트·청렴 라이브 등 청렴 교육, 명예 청렴 감사관 운영 등 내·외부의 청렴도를 높이기 위한 시책을 적극 발굴해 추진했다.
특히, 지난해 시행된 ‘공직자의 이해충돌방지법’에 발맞춰 ‘포항시 이해충돌방지담당관’을 지정하고, ‘포항시 공직자의 이해충돌 방지제도 운영지침’을 마련하는 등 이해충돌 방지제도가 공직사회에 안정적으로 정착될 수 있도록 노력한 성과를 인정받았다.
포항시 관계자는 “청렴·투명·공정한 포항을 위해 맞춤형 청렴 시책을 발굴하고 추진한 값진 결과”라며, “앞으로도 포항시는 시민분들께 청렴하고 적극적인 행정 서비스를 제공하기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
