지난 6일 송기찬 부구청장과 관련 공무원으로 구성된 점검단이 연일 계속되는 폭염특보에 대비하기 위해 취약지역을 찾아 점검을 실시했다.

수성구는 폭염특보가 발효된 지난달 20일부터 폭염 대응 전담팀을 운영하고 있으며 주민들이 온열질환으로부터 안전할 수 있도록 마을방송 송출, 현장 예찰 등을 강화하며 폭염 대응에 만전을 기하고 있다.

이번 점검은 시민들이 무더위로 인해 느끼는 불편상황을 확인하고 대책을 마련하기 위해 추진되었다.

점검단은 물놀이 철을 맞아 평소 어린이 이용객이 많은 수성패밀리파크를 찾아 어린이 물놀이장, 바닥분수, 쿨링포그 등의 수질을 점검했다. 이와 함께 안전요원 배치 및 기간제 근로자들의 온열질환 예방 안전수칙 이행 여부도 같이 확인했다.

또한 매호동 마을회관 건립 공사 현장을 방문한 점검단은 공사현장 근로자들의 근무 여건을 살폈다. 야외 작업이 많은 상황을 고려해 현장 담당자에게 작업시간 조정, 근로자 건강상태 관리 등 기본대책을 반드시 지켜달라 강조했다.

무더위쉼터에서는 실내환경과 냉방기 정상 작동 여부, 무더위쉼터 간판 부착 상태 등을 점검하고 시설을 이용하는 어르신들에게 야외 활동을 최대한 자제하고 쉼터를 적극 이용해 줄 것을 요청했다.

송기찬 부구청장은 “최근 전국적으로 폭염특보가 내려진 상황에서 수성구는 구민 건강과 안전을 위해 철저히 대비할 계획”이라며“ 구민들께서도 폭염행동요령을 숙지해 피해 예방에 동참해 주시길 바란다”고 말했다.
