【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구경북경제자유구역청(청장 김병삼, 이하 경자청)은 지난 11월 4일부터 9일까지 6일간에 걸쳐 우즈베키스탄, 카자흐스탄으로 파견한 ‘2024 DGFEZ CIS 종합 무역사절단’이큰 성과를 거두고 돌아왔다.

12일 경자청에 따르면 우즈베키스탄, 카자흐스탄은 최근 러-우 사태 장기화에 따른 대러 제재 강화로 인해 신흥시장으로 떠오르고 있는 곳이며, 높은 경제성장률과 청년층 인구 비율을 바탕으로 성장 잠재력이 큰 국가로 꼽힌다.

대구경북경제자유구역 내 입주기업(㈜릴리커버 외 5개사)로 구성된무역사절단은 한-중앙아시아 ‘K실크로드 협력 구상’ 대상인 우즈베키스탄과 카자흐스탄을 대상으로 지역 기업 제품의 우수성을 홍보하고 신규 거래선을 발굴하는 등 수출길 확대의 기회를 가졌다.

이번 무역사절단에서 총 76건, 1,334만 달러 상당의 계약 상담을 진행하였으며, 총 10건의 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하는 쾌거를 이뤄냈다. 특히, 대부분의 참가기업이 샘플 판매 및 MOU 체결 등의성과를 내며 지역 기업 제품의 우수성을 확인할 수 있었다.

김병삼 청장은 “우리 경자청은 이번 사절단을 통해 이루어진 성과에만족하지 않고, 상담장에서 논의된 내용들이 실제 성과로 이어질수 있도록 지속적인 관리와 필요한 조치를 아낌없이 지원할 방침이다” 라고 말했다.

한편, 대구경북경제자유구역청은 매년 관할 지구 내 입주(예정)기업들을 대상으로 무역사절단을 운영하고 있으며, 내년 3월중 무역사절단파견 시기, 파견 국가, 규모 등을 공고할 예정이다.

The trade mission consisting of companies located in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone (Lilycover Co., Ltd. and 5 other companies) had the opportunity to promote the excellence of local companies' products and discover new business partners in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, which are the targets of the Korea-Central Asia 'K Silk Road Cooperation Initiative', and to expand export routes.

This trade delegation conducted a total of 76 contract consultations worth 13.34 million dollars and achieved the feat of signing a total of 10 business agreements (MOUs). In particular, most of the participating companies were able to confirm the excellence of local companies’ products by achieving results such as sample sales and MOU signing.

Commissioner Kim Byeong-sam said, “Our Gyeongja Office is not satisfied with the results achieved through this delegation, and we plan to provide continuous management and support without sparing any necessary measures so that the contents discussed in the consultation can lead to actual results.”

Meanwhile, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority operates a trade delegation every year for companies that are (or will be) located in the jurisdiction, and plans to announce the dispatch period, dispatch country, and scale of the trade delegation in March of next year.
