서울 송파구는 라면과 마스크 등 긴급 생필품을 신속히 전달하며 피해 주민들의 일상 회복에 힘을 보탰다. 대구 동구는 기부금을 통해 실질적인 복구 지원에 나섰다.

전남 여수시는 직접 영덕군을 방문해 응급구호 세트와 취사용 물품, 기부금을 전달하는 한편, 피해 현장을 찾아 주민들과 아픔을 나눴다.

특히 전남 해남군은 의류, 즉석밥 등 생필품과 구호 세트를 지원하는 데 그치지 않고, 고향사랑기부제를 통해 공식적인 기부에도 참여하며 깊은 연대를 표현했다.

이 밖에도 송파구 체육회와 해남군 의용소방대는 성금을 전달하며 현장을 찾았고, 해남군 관내 25개 업체는 쌀, 김치, 조미료 등 식료품을 자발적으로 기부하며 민관이 함께하는 나눔의 행렬을 이어갔다.

이번 일련의 지원은 자연재해 앞에서도 꺾이지 않는 한국인의 공동체 정신과 자매도시 간 끈끈한 우정을 다시 한 번 확인시키고 있다.
