수성구는 9일 수성청년센터 ‘모잇다’에서 제6기 수성청년네트워크 발대식을 열고, 올해 말까지 지역 청년들과 함께 정책 제안 활동을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.
수성청년네트워크는 2019년 시작된 청년 참여 기구로, 청년들이 지역 현안을 직접 연구하고 정책을 제안하는 역할을 맡는다. 올해는 수성구에 거주하거나 활동 중인 19세~39세 청년 30명이 위촉돼 6기 활동을 시작했다.
올해 네트워크는 ‘수성청년정책학교’라는 부제를 걸고 △정치이해반 △지역혁신반 △문화반으로 나뉘어 운영된다. 각 분과는 전문 강사들의 정책 교육을 받은 뒤, 실질적인 정책 제안 활동으로 이어질 예정이다.
이날 발대식은 1부와 2부로 나뉘어 진행됐다. 1부에서는 김대권 수성구청장이 청년 위원들에게 위촉장을 수여하고 분과 활동 계획을 소개했다. 2부에서는 지역 청년센터 관계자들이 사례를 공유하고, 청년 위원들은 앞으로의 활동 의지를 다졌다.
김대권 구청장은 “지역 청년들이 서울로 떠나지 않고 수성구에 정착하려면, 일류 기업과 대학 유치, 정주 여건 개선이 중요하다”며 “청년네트워크의 활발한 활동을 통해 청년의 목소리가 정책에 반영될 수 있도록 전폭 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
