【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자= (재)경북테크노파크(이하 경북TP, 원장 하인성)와 지능형자동차부품진흥원(KIAPI, 원장 서재형)이 대구·경북 지역의 첨단 모빌리티 산업 육성과 혁신기업 지원을 위해 손을 맞잡았다.

양 기관은 지난 10일, 경북TP와 KIAPI 간 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고 첨단 모빌리티 분야 기술 협력 및 산업 생태계 조성에 적극 나서기로 합의했다. 협약식에는 하인성 경북TP 원장과 서재형 KIAPI 원장을 비롯한 관계자 13명이 참석해 상호 협력 방안에 대해 심도 깊은 논의를 나눴다.

협약 주요 내용으로는 ▲첨단 모빌리티 산업 기술 및 정보 교류 체계 구축 ▲모빌리티 분야 인프라 공동 활용 및 신규 협력 인프라 기획·구축 ▲산업 이슈에 대한 공동 대응 체계 마련 등이 포함됐다.

이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 ‘경북 산업 대전환 거버넌스 운영사업’ 및 ‘지역혁신클러스터 육성사업’ 등을 연계해 첨단 모빌리티 산업의 성장을 도모하고, 지역 주도형 연구개발(R&D)과 기술사업화 촉진, 중앙-지방 정책 연계 강화, 국비 확보, 지역 혁신거점 조성 등 다방면에서 협력할 계획이다.

하인성 경북TP 원장은 “이번 협약은 단순한 기관 간 교류를 넘어, 대구·경북이 첨단 모빌리티 산업의 중심지로 성장하는 데 실질적인 밑거름이 될 것”이라며 “양 기관의 협력이 지역 산업 생태계 혁신을 견인하는 촉매 역할을 하길 기대한다”고 말했다.

한편, 이번 협약은 전기차, 자율주행차 등 미래형 모빌리티 산업이 급속히 발전하는 가운데, 지역 기반의 기술력과 인프라를 효과적으로 연계하고 확장하려는 노력의 일환으로 평가된다.

Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to promote the growth of the advanced mobility industry by linking the ‘Gyeongbuk Industrial Transformation Governance Operation Project’ and the ‘Regional Innovation Cluster Promotion Project’, and to cooperate in various areas such as promoting regional-led research and development (R&D) and technology commercialization, strengthening central-local policy linkage, securing national funds, and creating regional innovation hubs.

Gyeongbuk TP Director Ha In-seong said, “This agreement will go beyond simple exchanges between organizations and will serve as a practical foundation for Daegu and Gyeongbuk to grow into a center for the advanced mobility industry,” adding, “We hope that the cooperation between the two organizations will serve as a catalyst to drive innovation in the regional industrial ecosystem.”

Meanwhile, this agreement is evaluated as part of efforts to effectively link and expand regional-based technologies and infrastructure amid the rapid development of future mobility industries such as electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles.
