【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구가 추진해온 현장 중심의 촘촘한 복지정책이 전국적 주목을 받았다.

대구 중구는 7월 4일 서울 더플라자호텔에서 열린 ‘2025 한국의 영향력 있는 CEO’ 시상식에서 류규하 중구청장이 복지행정경영 부문 최고경영자에 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

올해로 13회를 맞은 이 상은 TV조선이 주최하고 과학기술정보통신부, 산업통상자원부, 환경부 등 정부 부처가 후원하는 권위 있는 시상이다. 각 분야의 사회·경제적 가치를 높인 리더를 선정해 대한민국 경영의 선진화를 조명하는 데 목적이 있다.

류규하 청장은 중구의 지역 특성을 반영한 생활밀착형 복지체계 구축과 세대별 맞춤형 서비스, 복지 인프라 확충을 통해 주민 체감도를 높인 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

특히 류 청장은 민선 7기부터 ‘현장에서 답을 찾는 복지’, ‘사각지대 없는 복지’를 실현하기 위해 고독사 예방, 발달장애인 정서지원, 다문화가정 맞춤형 영양교육 등 수요자 중심의 특화사업을 적극 추진해왔다.

이와 함께, 중구는 복지누리반다비체육센터 건립을 통해 장애인 복지 기반을 마련하고, 초등학생 돌봄 공백을 해소할 ‘중구 다함께돌봄센터’ 운영, 시니어클럽 및 국공립 어린이집 확충 등 전 생애주기 복지를 위한 기반 구축에도 박차를 가하고 있다.

류규하 중구청장은 “중구는 비록 작은 자치구지만, 주민 한 사람 한 사람의 삶에 실질적인 도움이 되는 복지를 만들어가고 있다”며 “이번 수상은 그동안 주민과 함께해온 시간의 결실이며, 앞으로도 모두가 소외되지 않는 따뜻한 복지공동체를 만들어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
