【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=수성미래교육재단(이사장 김대권)은 지역 청소년과 독일 카를스루에 청소년 간 교육·문화 교류를 위한 '수성구-독일 카를스루에 로보틱스컵 대회'를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 수성구와 독일 교류 도시인 카를스루에 간 첫 공식 교류 대회로, 참가 학생들은 직접 제작한 로봇과 코딩 기술을 바탕으로 구조 로봇, 주차 로봇, 청소 로봇 등 3개 종목에서 실력을 겨룬다. 양 도시 모두 팀 단위로 예선과 본선을 거쳐 종목별 대표팀을 선발하고, 최종 교류전에서 맞붙게 된다.

수성구 예선 및 본선은 오는 12일 수성미래교육관에서 열린다. 초·중·고등학생으로 구성된 13개 팀이 각 종목에 출전하며, 대회 당일에는 관람객이 참여할 수 있는 미래 기술 교육 체험 부스도 운영된다.

최종 국제 교류 대회는 오는 18일 독일 카를스루에와 실시간 온라인 방식으로 진행된다. 종목별 우승 팀에게는 양 도시가 공동으로 시상할 예정이다.

김대권 수성구청장은 “이번 대회는 청소년들이 승패를 넘어, 미래 기술 분야에서 서로 배우고 성장하는 값진 기회가 될 것”이라며 “수성구는 앞으로도 국제 교류를 통해 미래 인재 양성에 적극 나서겠다”고 말했다.

The Susung Future Education Foundation (Chairman Dae-Kwon Kim) announced that it will hold the 'Susung-gu-Germany Karlsruhe Robotics Cup Competition' for educational and cultural exchange between local youth and youth in Karlsruhe, Germany.
