【브레이크뉴스 청도】이성현 기자=청도군(군수 김하수)은 지난 18일 경상북도 주관 ‘2025년 경상북도 식량시책 평가’에서 우수상을 수상했다.

도내 22개 시·군을대상으로 실시한 이번 평가는 쌀 적정생산과 식량산업 육성 강화, 식량 관련 예산 확보, 특수시책 추진 등 주요 식량정책 전반에 대한 추진 실적을 종합적으로 평가해 이뤄졌다.

청도군은 올해 유기질비료 및 토양개량제 지원, 벼 재배 농가 대상 병해충 공동방제, 중·소형 농업기계 지원을 통한 영농 작업 효율 향상등 다양한 지원사업을 추진하며 식량 생산 기반 강화에 힘써왔다.

또한, 쌀 적정생산을 위해 논타작물 재배 확대, 전략작물 재배 유도 등 수급 안정 시책을 적극 추진해 쌀 중심 구조에서 벗어난 식량 자급 기반확대에도 기여했다는 평가를 받았다.

이번 우수상 수상은 기후변화와 농업 경영 여건 악화 등 어려운 환경 속에서도 군과 농업인이 함께 식량안보 강화와 농가소득 안정에 노력해온 결과로, 청도군 농정 추진 방향의 성과를 대외적으로 인정받는 계기가 됐다.

김하수 청도군수는 “농업 여건이 갈수록 어려워지는 상황에서도 현장에서 최선을 다해준 농업인들 덕분에 의미 있는 성과를 거둘 수 있었다”며, “앞으로도 변화하는 농업환경에 능동적으로 대응하고, 지속가능한 식량 생산과 농가소득 증대를 위한 실효성 있는 시책을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 청도군은 앞으로도 지역 특성에 맞는 식량정책 발굴과 국·도비확보에 주력해 농업 경쟁력 강화와 안정적인 식량 생산 기반 구축에 박차를 가할 계획이다.
