재단에 따르면 사립학교 교육환경개선 자금 융자사업은 사립대학(전문·원격포함),사립 유․초․중․고교를 대상으로 교육환경개선을 위한 자금을장기·저리(최대 10년 범위내에서 학교가 자율 선택, 1.79% 2021년 1/4분기 기준 변동금리 적용)로 지원하는 사업이다.

이번 추가 신청은 교육환경의 안전강화를 위하여 교육환경 양적개선사업 중 ‘교육환경 안전강화 지원사업’(재해 방재, 안전 설비 확충, 노후시설 개·보수, 장애인 안전 확보를 위한 교육환경 개선 등)에 한하여 추가 배정을 실시한다.

또한, 이번 추가 신청의 경우 계약이 미체결된 사업도융자 신청이 가능하다.
