【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=한국사학진흥재단(이사장 이하운)이 23일, 2024년도 교육부 소관 기타공공기관 경영실적 평가에서 ‘우수(A)’ 등급을 획득했다고 밝혔다. 이로써 재단은 2019년부터 6년 연속 '우수' 등급을 유지하며 안정적인 경영성과를 이어가고 있다.

교육부는 매년 산하 공공기관을 대상으로 자율과 책임 중심의 경영체계 확립 및 대국민 서비스 품질 향상을 목표로 ▲경영전략 및 관리 ▲주요사업 운영 및 성과 등을 기준으로 종합 평가를 실시하고 있다. 이번 평가 결과는 공공기관의 책무 이행 정도를 가늠하는 중요한 지표로 활용된다.

특히 올해 재단은 지난해보다 향상된 평가 점수를 기록하며 경영관리와 사업운영 전반에서 두각을 나타냈다. 경영관리 부문에서는 조직·인적자원 관리와 사회적 책임 분야에서 높은 평가를 받았으며, 이하운 이사장 취임 이후 전략 체계 재정비와 사학진흥기금의 재무 안정성 제고, 간접일자리 창출, 재난 대응체계 강화, 윤리경영 기반 마련 등도 긍정적인 성과로 평가됐다.

주요사업 부문에서는 학생 주거 지원과 학령인구 감소 대응, 고등교육기관 재정정보의 신뢰성 및 활용성 향상, 대학 행정·재정 시스템 고도화, 폐교대학 기록물 전자화 사업 등이 고등교육의 질적 개선과 운영 효율성 향상에 기여한 점이 인정받았다.

이하운 이사장은 “학령인구 감소 등 대학들이 겪고 있는 어려운 여건 속에서도 공공기관으로서의 소임을 다하기 위해 임직원 모두가 헌신한 결과”라며 “앞으로도 고등교육 혁신을 뒷받침하는 핵심 공공기관으로서 인재 양성을 위한 혁신적 기반 마련에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한국사학진흥재단은 200명 미만의 소규모 인력 체계에도 불구하고 지속적으로 우수한 평가를 받고 있으며, 올해 역시 교육부 동일 평가군 공공기관 중 유일하게 6년 연속 '우수(A)' 등급을 유지하는 성과를 거뒀다.
