이 컨설팅은 사립대학들이 학령인구 급감에 대응하고 미래 경쟁력 및 교육 질을 향상시킬 수 있도록 실효성 있는 이행 과제를 제안하는 프로그램이다.

2025년 사립대학 혁신 컨설팅은 올해 1차(35월), 2차(68월), 3차(11~12월)로 나뉘어 최대 19개 대학을 지원할 예정이다. 대학들은 재단이 제공하는 혁신 컨설팅 과제 범위 내에서 필요한 구조개선 수행 분야 1개를 선택하여 신청할 수 있다. 주요 과제 분야는 대학 운영 체계 개선, 재정 수입 다변화, 지역사회 연계 운영 강화 등으로 나뉜다.
