【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=한국사학진흥재단과 신용보증기금은 12월 3일 학교복합시설 인프라 확충과 민간투자사업 활성화를 위해 ‘학교복합시설 민간투자사업 활성화 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 '민간투자법'에 기반한 학교복합시설 사업을 공동으로 지원하기 위한 협력체계를 구축하는 것으로, 두 기관이 각자의 전문성과 역량을 결합해 추진하는 첫 협력 사례다.

학교복합시설 사업은 학생과 지역 주민이 함께 이용하는 교육·문화·체육·복지 시설을 학교 부지에 조성하는 정책으로, 최근에는 대학 캠퍼스까지 적용 범위가 확대되며 지역 발전과 대학 자산 활용의 새로운 모델로 주목받고 있다.

협약에 따라 양 기관은 민간투자사업의 안정적 추진을 위해 관련 정보를 공유하고 공동 지원체계를 마련한다. 아울러 민간투자법 기반 사업 전반에 대한 전문 컨설팅을 제공하고, 상시 협력체계를 운영해 대학과 지방자치단체의 참여를 적극 지원할 계획이다.

한국사학진흥재단은 학교복합시설 전문기관으로서 사업의 발굴·기획·운영 등 전 과정을 지원하고, 신용보증기금은 민간투자 참여 주체의 사업 이해도 제고와 애로사항 해소를 위한 맞춤형 컨설팅을 담당한다. 이를 통해 학교복합시설 활성화와 지역 생활 여건 개선이라는 공공적 가치를 함께 실현한다는 방침이다.

이하운 한국사학진흥재단 이사장은 “이번 협약으로 학교복합시설에 대한 민간투자 기반이 한층 강화됐다”며 “재단은 학교복합시설 사업의 전국적 확산과 대학의 지역사회 공공 인프라 역할 확대를 위해 신용보증기금과 함께 지속적으로 지원해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will share relevant information and establish a joint support system to ensure the stable implementation of private investment projects. Furthermore, the foundation plans to provide expert consulting on all aspects of the project, based on the Private Investment Act, and operate a permanent cooperative system to actively support the participation of universities and local governments.

As a specialized institution for school complex facilities, the Korea Private Schools Promotion Foundation will support the entire project process, from project identification, planning, and operation. The Korea Credit Guarantee Fund will provide customized consulting to enhance private investment participants' understanding of the project and resolve any difficulties.
