더불어민주당 대구경북미래발전위원회가 출범도 하기 전에 취지와 상관없이 논란에 싸였다.

이재명후보 선거대책위원회 산하 조직으로 알려진 대구경북미래발전위원회(위원장 박창달. 이하 미발위원회)는 18일 오후 대구선대위사무실에서 발대식을 갖고 본격 출범을 알릴 예정이다. 

위원장인 박창달 전 국회의원의 민주당 입당을 계기로 대구경북 보수인사들의 영입이 가시화되면서 이재명 후보의 득표에도 긍정적 영향으로 작용할 것이란 예상이 나온 가운데, 이 모임에 참여 예정인 일부 인사들이 자신들의 의지와는 상관없이 이름이 올라가는 헤프닝이 벌어졌다.

특히 대구시여성단체협의회 수석부회장을 맡고 있는 구순천 씨는 예전 보수정당에서 함께 일했던 이 모씨로부터 모임 참여 제안을 받았다. 그는 수차례 모임 성격에 대하여 질문했지만 이 씨는 민주당과는 관련 없는 교수들 포럼이라고만 답을 해 이름을 올렸다는 것.

이에 대해 조미경 미발위원회 대변인은 “이번 대통령선거를 통해 진영 논리를 떠나 지역의 미래를 걱정하는 보수인사들과 함께 침체일로를 걷고 있는 대구경북의 경제 회복과 미래 비전 실현을 고민하는 모임”이라면서 “위원회 내부 산하에 여러 분야별 조직이 있는데 교수들로 구성된 분과위에 거론되신 것 같다. 아마도 출범이 완료되고 나면 구 부회장님 같이 참여 의사가 없는 분들이 정확하게 구분될 것으로 보인다”며 유감을 표했다. 

한편, 이번 발대식 명단에는 이석열 (현)한국자유총연맹 부총재, 최수백 새마을지도자 대구시협의회 직전회장, 정영환 (현)대구시 소상공인연합회 회장, 김상호 (현)대구대학교 총장, 김선종 (현)경상북도 파크골프혐회 회장, 김재수 (전)태극라이온스클럽 회장, 김정진 (현)이글로터리클럽 회장, 박용 (전)달서JC특우회 회장 등 대구경북 중도보수성향의 인사들이 이름을 올렸다. 이 외에도 100여명의 인사들이 참여할 것으로 알려져 있는데, 실제 자신의 참여의사가 맞는지에 대한 검증은 출범식 이후 구체적으로 확인될 것으로 전망된다.
