대구 서구청은 봄꽃 개화시기를 맞아 오는 26일부터 4월 17일까지 '와~봄' 주간을 가진다고 밝혔다.
지난 2019년부터 시작하여 4년째 추진 중인 와~봄 주간은 코로나19 장기화로 지친 주민들에게 와룡산의 봄을 만끽하고 어디로든 떠나고 싶은 봄날에 와룡산 일대에 피는 진달래, 벚꽃, 영산홍 등 봄꽃들과 함께 산책을 통해 구민의 건강을 도모하고자 마련되었다.
코로나19로 작년에 이어 올해도 비대면으로 실시하고 있으며 서구청 공식 유튜브 채널에서 봄꽃을 배경으로 한 상리봉전망대 포토존, 용미봉전망대 흔들그네, 자연생태체험숲 등 와룡산의 봄꽃들을 감상할 수있다.
또한 와~봄 주간에는 서구 소식지 독자 투고란에 와룡산의 풍경, 체험활동, 시내 전경 등을 보내 선정 시 문화상품권을 지급하는 이벤트도 운영한다.
주부 이모씨는(60대) “봄날씨가 좋아서 어디든 떠나고 싶었는데, 주말에는 가족들과 와룡산에 가서 추억을 남기고 싶다”고 밝혔다.
류한국 서구청장은 “와룡산의 봄꽃 산책을 통하여 봄의 정취를 만끽하고 산길을 걸음으로써 코로나19로 인해 힘든 시기를 보내고 있는 주민들이 힐링이 되는 좋은 계기가 되었으면 한다”고 말했다.
