【브레이크뉴스 상주】이성현 기자=상주시는 18일상주시 복룡동에 상주시 반려동물 입양센터를개소하고 입양업무를 본격 시작한다고 밝혔다.

시에 따르면 현재 상주시 반려동물 입양업무는 청리면 동물보호센터에서 진행하고있지만 센터 개소를 통하여 접근성과 관리환경을 개선하였다. 또한 관리직원2명을 채용하여 휴무 없이 언제라도 방문·상담을 통해 입양가능하다.

센터직원은 반려동물 관련 자격자와 샵 운영 경험자배치로 사육관리,미용업무 등 전문성을 갖추고특히 입양을 위해서 사람과 관계개선과 사회성을 기르는 데 중점을 두고 운영할 계획이다.

이현균 축산과장은 “입양센터 개소로 반려동물에 대한 인식 개선과 입양 홍보 효과 및 입양률 개선에 큰 역할을 할 것으로 기대한다,”고말했다.
