시에 따르면 총 40여 개 팀 1,000여 명이 참여한 거리퍼레이드는 상주여중에서 서문사거리를 지나 패션거리로 이어졌으며, 각 팀은 축제에 걸맞게 화려한 모자와 의상을 입고 행진한 후 도착지점에서 노래·춤·악기연주·스포츠 등의 퍼포먼스로 다시 한번 관중들의 눈과 귀를 즐겁게 해주며 축제의 흥을 돋우었다.

이후 2부 행사인 도심축제에서는 코요태·장민호·딴따라패밀리의 축하공연과 함께 거리퍼레이드 시상식이 진행되었으며, 금상은 아름다운 의상에 어울리는 모자댄스를 추며 모돌이게임 퍼포먼스까지 선보인 아리화무용단이 차지했으며, 은상은 (사)대한노인회 상주시지회, 동상은 부원풍물패, 장려상은 드림스포츠가 수상했다.

강영석 상주시장은 “패션의 완성은 모자이기도 하며 모자축제의 의미를 더해주는 패션거리 일원에서 전야제를 개최하게 되었는데, 많은 분들의 참여와 관심으로 축제 분위기가 한층 더 고조되었다”며 “일상 속 스트레스를 날리는 즐거운 시간이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
