이 가운데 엑스코에서는 시원한 도심 속 피서지를 원하는 지역민들을 위한 풍성한 콘서트와 이벤트 등 다양한 콘텐츠로 지역민들의 발길을 이끌고 있다.

특히 지난해 동관 개관으로 넓어진 엑스코는 더욱 다채로운 문화행사가 개최된다.

7월과 8월에는 매주 가족‧연인‧친구와 함께 즐길 수 있는 콘서트가 가족뮤지컬이 개최되며 초대형 실내놀이터 ‘상상체험 키즈월드’는 아이와 함께하는 가족들의 시원한 여름방학을 책임진다.

오는 29일부터 31일까지 임영웅 콘서트 ‘IM HERO’가 엑스코 동관 5, 6홀에서 개최된다. 해당 콘서트는 임영웅의 데뷔 후 첫 단독 콘서트인 만큼 관객들의 뜨거운 호응이 기대된다.

30일에는 댄서들의 축제인 ‘킬링댄스 페스티벌’이 서관 컨벤션홀에서 개최될 예정이다.

8월에도 매주 풍성한 문화행사가 엑스코를 가득 채운다. 미스터트롯으로 전 국민의 사랑을 받았던 장민호와 이찬원의 ‘민원만족’ 콘서트를 8월 6일과 7일 엑스코 동관 6홀에서 만날 수 있다. 

또한 8월 13일, 14일은 고품격 하모니를 선보일 포레스텔라의 전국투어콘서트 ‘The Beginning : World Tree In Daegu’가 서관 컨벤션홀에서 개최된다.

20일과 21일까지는 데뷔 17년 만에 처음으로 정규 앨범을 발매한 영탁의 단독콘서트인 ‘TAK SHOW’가 동관 6홀에서 개최되어 대구의 팬들과 소통할 예정이다. 

온 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 이벤트 또한 기대된다. 8월에는 앤서니브라운의 ‘기분을 말해봐’와 ‘겁쟁이 빌리’ 등 가족뮤지컬을 엑스코 오디토리움에서 만날 수 있다. 

또한, 초대형 실내 놀이터 ‘상상체험 키즈월드’가 아이들의 시원한 여름방학을 위해 물 위에서 직접 운전할 수 있는 페달보트 등 더욱 알찬 콘텐츠와 함께 돌아온 가운데 8월 21일까지 서관 3홀에서 개최된다.

엑스코는 전시 비수기 없이 달려온 상반기에 이어 하반기에도 50건 이상의 전시일정으로 통합가동률 53%를 달성할 전망이다.
