대구시는 한화자산운용(주)·협력사(5개 사)·산업단지관리기관(7개소)과 함께 ‘대구 스마트 산단 지붕형 태양광 프로젝트’ 업무협약을 체결했다고 12일 밝혔다

이 사업은 한화자산운용이 대구시 내 산업단지 지붕 및 유휴부지에 최대 3조원 규모의 민간자본을 투자해 태양광 1.5GW(신고리 원전 1.5기 용량 수준) 발전시설을 설치하는 것으로 국내 최대 규모의 태양광 민간투자 사업이다.

대구시는 산단 내 노후 슬레이트 지붕을 정비하고 친환경 탄소중립 도시를 구현하기 위해 ‘산단 지붕 태양광 사업’을 구상했고, 지난 11월 초 한화자산운용(주)과 SRS(주)가 ‘대구 스마트 산단 지붕형 태양광 프로젝트’를 제안해 실무 협의를 거쳐 한화·LS·LG·현대 4대 그룹 관련 업체와 대구 성서산단을 포함한 주요 7개 산단이 뜻을 모아 함께 참여하게 됐다.

한화자산운용(주)은 대구시 태양광사업을 위해 3조원 규모의 전용펀드를 조성해 투자하고 LS일렉트릭, 한화시스템, 현대일렉트릭앤에너지시스템은 책임시공을 맡으며, LG에너지솔루션 AVEL은 소규모 전력중개사업을 담당하고, 현장 시공을 담당하는 협력사는 100% 대구 지역업체로 구성된다. 

특히 참여기업에 대해서는  노후된 석면 슬레이트 지붕 무상 교체 , 기존보다 높은 임대료 지급보장 , 참여기업에 전기차 충전기 무상설치·노후 경유차 1만대 전기차 교체 지원, 산단의 친환경 스마트 전환 지원 등 파격적이고 다양한 인센티브를 제공하게 된다. 

대구시는 발전사업 인·허가, 태양광 설치에 따른 한국전력공사와 전력계통 연계 사항 협의 지원, 산업단지관리기관과 태양광 시설물에 대한 원만한 승계 문제 협의 등 사업 추진에 필요한 행정적 지원에 적극 나설 예정이다. 

한화자산운용(주) 한두희 대표는 “대구의 민관협력 사업을 성공적으로 추진하고, 앞으로 이 사업 모델이 전국의 산업단지로 이어져 국가적인 친환경 신재생에너지 확산의 계기가 됐으면 한다”고 밝혔다.
