【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=  대구시는 이달부터 집중적인 돌봄이 필요한 영아를 가정에서 편히 돌보기 위해 ‘부모급여’를 신설한다고 8일 밝혔다.

부모급여는 2022년부터 시행한 ‘영아수당’을 확대 개편한 제도로, 출산이나 양육으로 인한 경제적 부담을 경감하기 위해 도입됐다.

지원대상은 만 0 ~ 1세의 자녀를 둔 부모로 첫돌이 안 된 만 0세 아동을 키우는 가정에 월 70만원, 돌이 지난 만 1세 아동에는 35만원을 지급한다. 

오는 2024년에는 각각 월 100만원과 50만원으로 확대된다.

부모급여를 지원받기 위해서는 아동의 출생일을 포함한 60일 이내에 부모급여를 신청해야 하며 주소지 읍·면·동 행정복지센터를 방문하거나 ‘복지로’ 또는 ‘정부24', '누리집’을 통해 온라인으로 신청할 수 있다. 

출생신고와 동시에 신청도 가능하고 기존에 영아수당을 받고 있는 아동이라면 별도의 신청 없이 부모급여가 지원된다. 

단, 출생일 포함 60일 이내에 신청해야 출생 월부터 소급 지원이 가능하며, 그 이후에는 신청일이 속한 달부터 지원된다.

부모급여 대상 아동이 어린이집을 이용하는 경우에는 만 0세와 만 1세 모두 51만 4천원의 보육료 지원을 받게 된다. 

만 0세의 경우 부모급여 70만원이 보육료 지원금액보다 크기 때문에 그 차액인 18만 6천원을 현금으로 지급받게 된다.

이달 기준 만 0세 아동 중 보육료를 지원받는 아동의 보호자는 부모급여 차액을 지급받기 위해 계좌를 등록해야 한다. 

계좌정보는 오는 15일까지 복지포털 ‘복지로’ 사이트를 통해 입력하거나, 아동의 주민등록상 주소지 관할 읍·면·동 행정복지센터를 방문해 등록할 수 있다. 

종일제 아이돌봄서비스를 지원받는 경우, 부모급여가 아닌 종일제 아이돌봄 지원금으로 지급한다.

 종일제 아이돌봄서비스는 가구의 소득에 따라 본인부담액이 달라지므로, 본인부담액 및 이용시간 등을 고려해 종일제 아이돌봄서비스와 부모급여 중 더 유리한 지원방식을 선택하면 된다.

 가정양육에서 어린이집이나 종일제 아이돌봄을 이용하고자 하는 경우에는 서비스 변경 신청을 해야 한다.

조경선 대구시 청년여성교육국장은 “이번 부모급여 개편 확대로 출산 및 양육으로 손실되는 소득을 보전하고, 나아가 저출산 대응 및 일가정 양립에도 보탬이 되기를 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 양육지원과 보육지원서비스의 질적 향상으로 행복한 자녀양육 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
