이번 교육은 ‘산업안전보건법’ 제29조에 따라 분기별 6시간 이상 실시해야 하는 법정 교육으로, 현업근로자에 대한 안전‧보건 교육을 통해 안전에 관한 실무지식을 키우고 안전문화 의식을 공유해 중대재해를 예방하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 교육은 한국산업안전보건공단의 전문강사를 초빙해 산불 진화 시 발생할 수 있는 재해사례, 중대재해처벌법의 이해, 산불 현장 안전점검사항 등 안전보건 조치사항을 철저히 준수하고 업무 현장에서의 안전사고 예방에 중점을 두고 진행됐다.

김동희 영덕부군수는 “산업재해 사고사례의 발생원인을 보면 부주의와 잘못된 작업방법 등 불안전한 행동이 대부분을 차지하고 있다”며, “지속적인 안전교육을 실시해 무의식적인 상태에서도 안전을 위한 즉각적인 행동이 나올 수 있도록 안전보건 교육에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
