26일, 대학에 따르면 경상북도와 경상북도 육아종합지원센터에서 주관하는 경북형 ‘영유아 맞춤형 발달증진 프로그램’은  도내 영유아의 잠재능력 발달을 효과적으로 이끌어내기 위해 추진되는 사업이다.

가톨릭청각음성언어센터는 해당 프로그램의 전문기관 선정됨에 따라 의사소통에 어려움을 겪고 있는 경북도 내 어린이집을 이용하는 영유아를 대상으로 청능재활, 언어치료, 심리치료 서비스를 제공(년간 1인 55만원 지원)한다.

최철희 가톨릭청각음성언어센터장은 “이 사업을 통해 학교 기업의 활성화 뿐 아니라, 언어청각치료학과 학생들에게 다양한 실습 환경을 제공하고 지역민들에게 수준이 높은 언어치료 및 심리치료 서비스를 제공하도록 노력하겠다.”고 전했다.
